Job Description

MagGenome is primarily focused on the development of magnetic nano particles based products. The current initiatives include developing nucleic acid extraction kits using our patented magnetic nano particles-based technology. The company has developed DNA extraction kits under the brand name “XpressDNA”. We have also immobilized protein products for affinity chromatography under the brand name XpressAffinity. MagGenome will also focus on other applications of magnetic nano particles in near future for providing solutions in the areas of diagnostics, therapeutics and environmental remediation

  • · Designation: National Business Development Manager
  • · Qualification: Masters
  • · Job Location: Chennai / Cochin

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • · Key accountabilities are to achieve revenue targets each quarter and annually, along with developing long term revenue streams from territory customers.
  • · Identify new Business Avenues for biological and engineering applications of magnetic nanoparticles and developing sales strategy for each territory.
  • · Create a map for potential business areas based on these different avenues.
  • · Building a qualified pipeline through prospects, industry event participation and marketing engagements.
  • · Identify and set export opportunities
  • · Channel network setup across PAN India
  • · Budget achievement
  • · Coordinating with R&D/QC/Production to expedite the release of new products
  • · Identify the gaps in market requirement and our product list and addressing it and reducing the gap
  • · Monitoring competitor activity and competitors’ products.
  • · Applying a thorough understanding of business practice, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to carry out a repeatable sales process.
  • · Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the concerned sector.
  • · Demonstrating and presenting products to prospects.
  • · Ensuring the timely receipt of payments.
  • · Client Relationship Management.
  • · Understanding the requirements of the clients & positioning an appropriate solution.
  • · Providing ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and additional revenue streams.
  • · Incorporating functional and technical knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and using that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value based solutions.
  • · Regular feedback to customers and immediate reporting authority.
  • · BD team formation eventually.
  • · Working effectively as an individual while also facilitating the sales opportunity by providing team-on team leadership and organizing the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process.
