Researchers can isolate Plant genomic DNA easily from various plant species and tissue types like leaf, dry seeds, germinated seeds, seedling, stems and roots. The need for the use of organic solvents is eliminated, therefore reducing several processing steps keeping the integrity and purity of DNA intact.
Our optimized protocol enables recovery of high-quality DNA ready for further downstream applications and metagenomics. DNA yield ranges between 1μg – 23μg per 100mg of tissue sample.
The XpressDNA Plant Kit is shipped at room temperature.
You must store the enzyme (RNaseA) at 4°C.
Also, you can minimize contamination and evaporation loss by storing all other solutions tightly sealed at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
For tissue pulverization you may use either liquid nitrogen as depicted in the video or zirconium bead based mechanical disruptors if available.
