XpressDNA Mycobacterium Kit is optimized for genomic mycobacterial DNA extraction, providing a simple and efficient method of genomic DNA purification/extraction from Mycobacterium cells. Magnetic Nanoparticles provide large surface area and highly specific nucleic acid binding capacity resulting in purification of high quality and quantity of double stranded genomic DNA from various bacterial strains. The protocol does not require phenol/chloroform or alcohol precipitation. The purified DNA is approximately 20 – 40 kb in size with highest integrity, double strand ratio and is suitable for downstream applications like NGS, Southern blot, SNP genotyping and PCR or other enzymatic reactions without any further purification.
