Description:
RNase A is a highly specific endoribonuclease that cleaves single-stranded RNA at the 3′ phosphate of pyrimidine residues. It is a robust, stable enzyme with maximum activity on unpaired RNA regions.
Key Features:
Selectively digests single-stranded RNA.
Cleaves at the 3′ side of cytosine (C) and uracil (U).
Produces pyrimidine 3′-phosphates and short oligonucleotides.
Facilitates preparation of RNA-free plasmid and genomic DNA.
Useful for removing unhybridized RNA from DNA–RNA or RNA–RNA hybrids.
Single-chain polypeptide with four disulfide bonds; non-glycosylated.
